It has a hefty USB-C PD (Power Delivery) port for rapid charging of my phone and laptop. Two other USB-C ports for my other gadgets. And a couple of legacy USB-A ports which were redundant. The pass through was useful for using the same socket as the hotel's TV / lamp / coffee maker. Wherever we were in the world, I was 100% confident that I would be able to buy a replacement charger if I needed it. USB-C cables are everywhere too. What are the chances that I could find the exact charger needed for a GameBoy Colour? Or the puck for last year's Pixel watch? Or the weird barrel jack for an HP laptop? No. One charger. One cable. One standard. Here's everything I took which needed to be recharged.

Anyone know the current rental rates for the condos near Citta Mall? Looking at a 2-bedroom unit. 🏢

Ara Damansara has really matured over the past few years. The LRT connectivity to KL Sentral makes it super convenient for daily commute, and the F&B scene around Evolve Concept Mall keeps getting better. Prices have held up well too — good mix of landed and high-rise. If you are looking for a family-friendly area with good access to highways (LKSA, NKVE) and Subang Airport nearby, this is worth a serious look. Schools and clinics are all within reach.

@chinlingloh The F&B scene is underrated. Evolve has some hidden gems. 🍜

Just closed a deal on a landed unit here. The demand is strong! 📈

New cafe opened near the Ara Damansara LRT station — great spot for weekend property viewings meetups. ☕

Look at the past history of this blog. There are many blog posts about programming with AI, a few of them date back to January 2024 (like this: https://antirez.com/news/140). I’m a relatively well regarded programmer, after all. I don’t have the need to still be in the “loop” as a old man that seeks for relevance, I recently rejoined Redis, and now I also am developing a new open source software for local LLM inference that received a good welcome in the community. Why I keep doing this, of saying what people don’t want to hear? Why I keep announcing how future programming will be by default? Because I feel the urge of lowering the impact for people less prepared to the change than me, often younger than me, and that, unlikely me, didn’t see many of those things coming (In 2022 I published, before ChatGPT existed, a book preannouncing many things that now happened and other things that I believe *will* happen, so I feel like I can say this without sounding egocentric).
